According to various studies, a diet rich in olive oil may reduce the incidence of obesity, diabetes and hypertension within a balanced diet and moderate quantities.

In the development of obesity, hypertension and diabetes is a genetic component, but the most important of these diseases are lifestyle, diet and exercise, hence the importance of avoiding idleness and promote a balanced and healthy diet.

Virgin olive oil should not be considered as a drug but as part of the diet. A Mediterranean diet is not conceivable without the olive oil but we get is one of the most important values of the Mediterranean diet: moderation in eating and drinking.
