The research is part of an observational study referred to essential hypertension and the use of floral therapy in the treatment of the disease. We studied the population of 12 clinics Polyclinic “Alcides Pino Bermudez” Holguín municipality in the period from April 2, 2001 to May 31, 2002, by a purposive sampling to obtain a specific sample and thus realize a case study.

Initially the population was all patients given health area 9651 diagnosed hypertensive patients over 15 years of which were selected from among 464 essential hypertensive patients with hypertension including 27 for “work stress”, which did not accept the disease and / or drug treatment did not engage in a disciplined, presented with psychological manifestations. (After assessment with the cardiologist and the clinician).

For data collection, a survey by the stated objectives is also used individual history of each patient.

Were applied: the psychometric test ROTTER, by psychometrist at the beginning and end of the investigation to assess areas of conflict and preserving test adaptive capabilities to determine the levels of vulnerability before stressor agents, which includes several aspects that indicate adaptability to daily stressors.
